Quick User Guide<\/h1>\n

This guide summarises the main steps and recommendations for using AMBici easily and safely.
We recommend reading it before your first ride and whenever you have any questions while using the service.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

1. How to start a rental<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u2705Scan the bicycle QR code with the AMBici app.
\n\u2705Do not touch or move the bicycle.<\/strong>
\n\u2705Wait a few seconds, between 10 and 20 seconds
\n\u2705The rear wheel lock will open automatically.<\/strong>
\n\u2705When you hear the unlocking sound, remove the bicycle from the dock.
\n\u2705Only get on the bicycle once it is completely out of the dock.
\n\u274cIf the rear wheel lock does not open<\/strong>
\n\u2705Move the rear wheel slightly. The lock may have become caught on a wheel spoke.
\n\u2705Tap \u201cOpen lock<\/strong>\u201d again in the AMBici app
\n\u2705If it still does not open, end the rental.
\n\u2705Make sure the rental has ended in the AMBici app.
\n\u2705If the rental does not end, call the user support telephone number.
\n\u274cIf the bicycle does not come out of the front dock.<\/strong>
\n\u2705Close the rear wheel lock. If it has not opened, press the lock for 5 seconds so that the closure is registered.
\n\u2705Make sure the rental has ended in the AMBici app.
\n\u2705If the rental does not end, call the user support telephone number.<\/p>\n

\u26a0\ufe0fNever try to force the bicycle out or move it while it is unlocking.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

  • If you are at a +P station<\/strong>
    \n\u2757 Preferably choose a bicycle that is outside the dock.
    \n\u2705Scan the bicycle QR code with the AMBici app.
    \n\u2705Do not touch or move the bicycle.<\/strong>
    \n\u2705Wait a few seconds, between 10 and 20 seconds.
    \n\u2705The rear wheel lock will open automatically.<\/strong>
    \n\u2705Remember to lift the kickstand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    2. Before you start riding
    \n<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    \u2705Check the battery level. You can check it in the app before choosing a bicycle.
    \n\u2705Check the brakes, make sure the tires are properly inflated and that the pedals, handlebar and saddle are securely fixed.
    \n\u2705Adjust the saddle height. The saddle should be approximately at hip height.
    \n\u2705Always start in a low gear.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

    3. The AMBici ride<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    \u26a0\ufe0fAMBici rides are always from station to station.
    \n<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u274cYou may not interrupt the ride by leaving the bicycle locked outside a station, except in exceptional cases and always after contacting User Support.
    \n\u2705Always end the ride at an operational AMBici station.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

    4. How to end a rental<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    \u2705Slow down.
    \n\u2705Set a low gear.
    \n\u2705Get off the bicycle.
    \n\u2705Insert the front wheel into the dock.
    \n\u2705Keep the bicycle straight.
    \n\u2705Then lower the rear wheel lock.
    \n\u2705Wait a few seconds until you hear the acoustic signal (click).
    \n\u2705Make sure the rental has ended in the AMBici app.
    \n\u274cIf the app shows that the rental is paused<\/strong>
    \n\u2705Make sure the rental has ended by closing and reopening the app.
    \n\u2705If it is still paused, tap \u201cOpen lock<\/strong>\u201d in the AMBici app.
    \n\u2705Place the bicycle correctly back into the dock.
    \n\u2705Check that the ride is completed.
    \n\u2705If necessary, try another dock.
    \n\u2705If the rental does not end, call the user support telephone number.<\/p>\n

    \u26a0\ufe0fNever leave the station without confirming in the AMBici app that the rental is closed.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

    5. If you arrive at a full station<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    If you arrive at a station that is not a +P station<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u2705Check the app for the nearest station with available spaces.
    \n\u2705Go to that station to end the ride.<\/p>\n

    If you arrive at a +P station and all docks are occupied:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    +P stations allow you to park the bicycle even when there are no free docks.
    \n\u2705Park the bicycle in the space between two correctly docked bicycles, always within the station perimeter.
    \n\u2705Lower the bicycle kickstand.
    \n\u2705Close the rear wheel lock.
    \n\u2705Wait between 10 and 15 seconds so that the lock is registered.
    \n\u2705Check that the ride has ended correctly in the AMBici app.<\/p>\n

    \u26a0\ufe0fDo not leave the station until the app confirms that the rental is closed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Important: <\/strong>
    \n\u2705You may only leave the bicycle outside a dock in the designated spaces of a +P station.
    \n\u274cNever leave the bicycle outside a station.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

    6. Reserving a bicycle<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    \u2705Select the station in the AMBici app.
    \n\u2705Tap \u201cMake a reservation<\/strong>\u201d.
    \n\u2705Confirm the reservation.
    \n\u2705Start the rental from the \u201cMy reservations<\/strong>\u201d option.<\/p>\n

    \u23f3You have 10 minutes to get to the station and start the rental. You can take any bicycle at the station.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

    7. Cancelling a reservation<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    \u2705You will see the active reservation on the app home screen.
    \n\u2705Tap \u201cCancel reservation<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n

    \u26a0\ufe0fMaking reservations and not using them may lead to sanctions.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

    8. Reporting an incident<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    \u2705Open the AMBici app.
    \n\u2705Go to Support<\/strong>, in the \u201cIs there a problem with the rental?<\/strong>\u201d section.
    \n\u2705Describe the incident in as much detail as possible.
    \nThis is the fastest way to manage the incident in most cases.<\/p>\n

    \ud83d\udcdeOnly call if you cannot end a rental or lock a bicycle.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

    9. Reporting damage<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Have you found a flat tyre, faulty brake or any other problem?
    \n\u2705Open the AMBici app.
    \n\u2705Go to Support<\/strong>, in the \u201cThe bicycle is damaged<\/strong>\u201d section.
    \nYour collaboration helps us keep the bicycles in good condition.
    \nAnd remember:
    \u2705Always leave the bicycle correctly parked.
    \u2705Follow traffic regulations.
